Articulated

Round two of notes on the Ventura. The sleeve hangs dead straight rather than following the arm, so it's being articulated, and it comes up 2cm to 64.5cm. There's also a hanging loop inside the neck, and a longer overlap on the cuff.

Much nicer

The latest Ventura sample is back, and it's a much nicer fit. The length looks right now. The sleeves and collar should have been topstitched, but I left that out of the notes. With that and a proper press on the collar, it's close.

Fully finished

The next Ventura sample will be fully finished. Dorota has seven metres of the gabardine, and navy silk is on its way to bind the seams.

London

Met Jonathan and Dorota in London today, the first time the three of us have been in the same room. On the table were the first samples of the Hunter and the Ventura, the Hampden and the funnel neck jacket. The Hunter and the Ventura go back with Dorota for the changes.

Nothing to hide

The Ventura is a chore coat in navy cotton gabardine, and I want every seam inside it bound in lining so none of them show. The armhole is the tricky one. Dorota is binding one and French-seaming the other, so we can see which finishes better.
