This page covers everything you need to know about how we ship, which countries we deliver to and what to expect in terms of timelines and costs.

Made to Order — A Note on Timelines

Before your made to order coat ships, it goes through a 12-week production process. Delivery timelines below apply from the point your order leaves us — not from the point of purchase. Please factor in the production period when planning your order.

UK Shipping

Mainland UK — Free
All deliveries to mainland UK are free of charge and handled by FedEx on their priority tracked service. Your order will typically arrive the next working day after dispatch. This does not include weekends or bank holidays.

Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands — £14.99
Deliveries outside of mainland UK are handled by DPD on a 48-hour tracked service and should arrive within two working days of dispatch.

Areas with extended transit times
Due to geographical location, the following postcode areas may experience longer delivery times than quoted: AB13–14, AB21–23, AB30–45, AB51–56, AB99, BT (Belfast), GY (Guernsey), HS (Isle of Lewis), IM (Isle of Man), IV (Inverness), JE (Jersey), KW (Orkney Isles), KY (Kirkcaldy), PA (Renfrewshire), PH (Perthshire), TR20–23 (Truro), ZE (Shetland), and the Isle of Wight.

International Shipping

We ship to the following countries on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. This means all import duties and taxes are included in the price you pay at checkout. There is nothing further to pay on arrival.

We do not currently ship to the European Union. Please see below for further details.

  • United States — 2–3 working days via FedEx
  • Canada — 3–4 working days via FedEx
  • Australia — 3–5 working days via FedEx
  • Japan — 2–5 working days via FedEx
  • South Korea — 2–4 working days via FedEx
  • Norway — 3–5 working days via FedEx
  • Iceland — 3–5 working days via FedEx
  • Switzerland — 3–5 working days via FedEx

Shipping and all applicable duties and taxes are included in the price you pay at checkout. There is nothing further to pay on delivery.

All transit times are estimates from the date of dispatch and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs processing, or circumstances outside our control.

Why We Don't Ship to the EU

Following the EU's introduction of the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) in December 2024, non-EU businesses are required to appoint an authorised EU representative before selling to EU customers. The administrative burden this creates is significant, and we have taken the decision not to absorb that cost at the expense of the quality and focus we bring to every order. We hope the regulatory landscape changes. In the meantime, if you are based in the EU and would like to be notified if this changes, please contact us at info@barnfieldcustoms.com.

Duties and Taxes

For all international destinations we serve, duties and taxes are included in your order total at checkout. You will not be asked to pay anything further on delivery.

This applies to all products.

Tracking

All orders are shipped on fully tracked services. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking details once your order has been dispatched. For Made to Order products, this email will arrive approximately 12 weeks after your order is confirmed.

Returns Shipping

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Please use a tracked and insured service — we cannot accept liability for items lost in transit without proof of tracking. Full details of our returns process are set out in our Returns and Refund Policy.
