Slingsby Cardigan

The body and sleeves of the Slingsby are knitted in a structured waffle pattern that gives the piece its distinctive texture, adding breathability without sacrificing warmth.

The silhouette is cut to a tailored fit, giving the cardigan shape and presence whether worn open or buttoned close to the body.

Each panel is fully fashioned on specialist machinery, then linked by hand to create seams that are smooth and strong.

The shawl collar, hem, placket and cuffs are each knitted with three ends of yarn, a technique where three separate strands are worked together into one.

This adds weight, structure and substance to the garment, so it feels warm without ever feeling heavy to wear.

The buttons are natural horn, individually laser engraved with Barnfield Great Britain around the edge face.

There are no external pockets to interrupt the line of the knit or add unnecessary bulk.

The result is a cardigan that’s quietly refined, structurally confident and made to hold its shape through years of wear.

The Slingsby has been designed to a slim, tailored fit. It runs true to size worn over a single layer.

If you’re in between sizes or prefer a looser fit, go up a size.

Our knitwear is held in stock in limited size and colour runs.

When you place your order, your Slingsby will be dispatched via courier within 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours on weekends and national holidays.

If for any reason, you’re not 100% happy with your cardigan, we’ll happily take it back.

We’ll need to receive it within 14 days of delivery and it’ll need to be in perfect condition so that we can process your refund.

Please ensure you return the cardigan in the gift box and within the brown kraft mailer box that it arrives in.

Please do not write on or stick anything directly to the gift box.

Please make sure you use a tracked and insured service. If an item gets lost in the post, we won’t be able to process a refund or exchange.

Care:
Our knitwear is not preshrunk. Agitating the finished garments in a washing machine effects the yarn and changes the finish significantly.

This means anything other than careful dry cleaning will effect your Slingsby poorly.

If it needs a clean, your best bet is to use a very slightly damp cloth to spot clean any dirt or build up.

If you do need to visit a dry cleaners, we recommend heading into a GreenEarth® certified shop. GreenEarth® is a non-toxic and chemically inert solution, specifically developed to be kinder to clothes and to the environment.
